Did You Know?: From TV to the Big Screen

It's time for the July edition of "Did You Know?"...Sales and Leasing Consultant, Tim Hoyt, takes a look at the transition of TV shows into movies and vice versa. 

During the first three decades of TV programming, several movies were turned into TV shows. A few of them included:

  • Twelve O'Clock High

  • Blondie
Starting in 1979, things went in a different direction. Many popular TV shows were transformed into movies such as:

Other interesting facts:
Did you know the Superman was a serial program? A serial is a series of television programs and radio programs that rely on a continuing plot that unfolds in a sequential episode-by-episode fashion. This type of program follows a story plot that continues to unfold throughout the course of the entire season.

Batman has been produced into seven films so far.

The Star Trek franchise has been the biggest cinematic hit.

Happy 4th of July!

Baum Chevrolet Buick will be closed on Thursday, July 4th in honor of Independence Day. The dealership will resume its normal hours on Friday, July 5th.
